Legislative Update for 9/1 Committee Meeting

Thanks to the efforts of Dineen Wasylik, progress has been made on the revisions to the Florida trademark statute. Copies of the draft bill, the white paper, and the comparison of the draft to the statute, may be downloaded here.

This will be discussed at Saturday’s Committee meeting.

9/1 Committee Meeting @ Business Law Section Retreat, Bonita Springs

The IP Committee will meet on Saturday, September 1st, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at the Business Law Section Retreat. The agenda for the meeting and minutes from the last meeting may be downloaded here.

A conference line has been arranged for those members who wish to participate in the meeting, but who are unable to make it to Bonita Springs. Please e-mail Sam Lewis or Terry Sanks if you plan to attend the meeting by telephone.

 

Georgia Bar IP Section Annual Conference – Amelia Island, FL

The Georgia Bar IP Section’s annual IP Conference will be held on Amelia Island, FL on Friday Sept. 21 – Saturday Sept. 22. The conference has a great lineup of speakers and panels, as can be seen in the brochure (GA Bar IP Institute Brochure). Since this event is being held in Florida, Georgia’s IP Section is extending an invitation to The Florida Bar IP Committee’s members.
