The new IP Committee Blog is up and running at www.ipcommittee.com. We welcome and encourage postings about legal developments that will be of interest to IP practitioners. If you want to put a post on the Blog, contact me at [email protected] or Tracey Eller at [email protected] and we will set you up with author privileges.

As you prepare your post, we ask that you comply with a few ground rules:

  • Posts should be about significant news or legal developments of interest to the IP bar. Please do not use the Blog for other types of communications.
  • All material that is posted on the Blog must be your original authorship. If you want to quote from a third party, please keep your excerpts short and always attribute their authorship. If you come across an interesting article or blog entry on the web that you want to share, post a link to it, but please don’t cut and paste it into your post.
  • Please limit your post to 2-3 paragraphs. If you write something longer, please save it unpublished and contact me. I will help you to divide the post into two portions — one that will appear on the blog and the other that will be accessible through a link.
  • If you are addressing a development that someone else has already written about, please add your thoughts as a comment on the original post, rather than as a new post. (Contact me if you want to depart from this.)

The IP Committee Blog is your resource. It is a platform where you can share your ideas, insights and expertise with your colleagues in the IP bar, and a place for you to learn from your peers. So, when you read an interesting new case or have a new insight into an issue of IP law, consider writing about it for our Blog. We look forward to reading what you have to say!
